CBN Alerts Public On Fake Twitter Handle Of its

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has portrayed as false the tasks of a phony twitter handle, @YusufPhilipYila,

suspected to have a place with its Director, Development Finance Department, Mr Philip Yila Yusuf.

The pinnacle bank’s Director of Corporate Communications, Mr Isaac Okorafor, brought this caution up in an

announcement on Sunday in Abuja.

Okorafor said counterfeit messages identifying with the bank’s N50 billion Targeted Credit Facility (TCF) have been

posted on the twitter handle with the plan of charming clueless advance searchers and proprietors of little scope

organizations to go into correspondence with the proprietor of the phony handle.

He, hence, cautioned clueless individuals from the open not to have anything to do with the said twitter handle.

“In spite of the fact that the CBN, through the NIRSAL Microfinance Bank (NMFB), has in reality dispensed advances

to effective recipients under its COVID-19 Targeted Credit Facility, none of the bank’s authorities takes part in direct

cooperations with forthcoming or fruitful candidates.

“We, along these lines, think that its humiliating that Mr Yusuf has kept on being immersed with individual calls

identifying with messages from the impostor handle.

“For the evasion of uncertainty, our Director, Mr Yusuf, doesn’t as of now own a twitter handle,” he expressed.

The chief, in this manner, urged individuals from people in general, especially families, smaller scale ventures and

proprietors of little and medium-scale organizations to halt from communicating with the said handle

@YusufPhilipYila.

He included that the back rubs were phony and that anybody, who goes into correspondence with them, does as

such at their own hazard.

He prompted imminent candidates to move toward the NIRSAL Microfinance Bank or CBN branch closest to them or

tweet at @cenbank or @NirsalMFB for explanation on the system for getting to the TCF or any of the CBN-related

advances.
